<p>Courtesy lamp system for a vehicle in which a lamp structure in a housing (12) is associated with a rear view mirror assembly. The mirror (43) is coupled by universal joint to an inner end wall surface of the housing (12). Thus, the mirror (43) can be adjusted in all directions relative to the housing (12). The housing (12) has a divider panel (28) to divide the housing (12) into upper and lower recesses containing light sources (30, 32, 34, 36). A pair of green light sources (30, 32) are in the upper recess and at the rear of the vehicle, respectively, a red light source (34, 36) is in the lower recess. The green light sources (30, 32) are coupled by circuitry to manual switches and the vehicle brake light is coupled to a third switch.</p> |
