Rotary blower for delivery of gaseous medium - has peripheral tongue section with spirally constant curvature

The rotary blower has backwards-sloping spiral vanes and is used for the delivery of a gaseous medium. The housing tongue (22) of the spiral housing (10) extends peripherally over the impeller (13) and is formed from the inner opening (21) to an inlet point (25) with a spirally constant curvature. The peripheral tongue section (23) has a side section (24) which runs parallel to and at a small distance from the impeller. USE/ADVANTAGE - Blower in which efficiency is improved by an adjustment of the geometrical relationships of the tongue sections.
