The wide-band TV broadcasting method enables the viewer to interact with specially selected programmes. A multichannel TV programme transmitter or a TV player is used as the source of a TV programme. Personality television data includes picture, sound and control information. These are recorded in a transmission frame and transmitted. The control information is prefaced with a special code which is different from the picture and sound information. The control information contains, e.g. programme number, a sub-channel number, a picture and sound characteristic, a code for addressing a personality box, a characteristic for the running picture construction and sound etc. USE/ADVANTAGE - Has multi-medium application, e.g. HDTV, compact disc or video technology. Wide band transmission allows easy adaptation for different media.
