Separate injection pump for IC engine - uses roller in central joint of lever pair, acting with control cam on cam shaft

The piston is controlled by a cam (7) of the cam shaft, via a roller (9). The roller is located in the central joint of a lever pair, which encloses an angle of between 90 and 180 degrees. The lever pair consists of a pump lever (3) and a housing lever (4). The free outer end of the pump lever is connected to the pump piston. The free end of the housing lever is born on a load transmission surface (5). This is located in the engine casing (6), and/or in a lever housing (2), which is fixed to the engine housing. ADVANTAGE - Simple conversion of engines with block injection pumps, for individual pumps with better injection pressures.
