<p>A vacuum casting device wherein gate mechanisms (12 and 10) are closed and the interior of cavity (6) is vacuumized by a vacuum pump in a state where the sides of the gate mechanisms (12 and 10) opposite to the cavity are filled up with molten metal. A ring-shaped groove having a V-shaped cross section on the side opposite to the cavity reaches sealed portion of the gate mechanisms (12 and 10) in a state where a molten metal path (8) is closed. With this arrangement, the molten metal is led to the sealed portion from the ring-shaped groove (10e) and intrudes into minute gaps formed in the sealed portion. Then, the molten metal is solidified in the ring-shaped groove (10e) and the gaps formed in the sealed portion. Because of this, the thus solidified metal piece has a ring shape having a predetermined thickness and can be easily peeled off from the gate mechanisms (12 and 10) during mold release.</p> |
