An apparatus, as shown in the figure, and method for lubricating endoscopic devices as they pass through a body cavity utilizing a container (10), a polymer lubricant within container (10), and a hollow, elongated applicator tip for expressing the polymer lubricant into a body cavity. The figure shows a side elevational view of the dispensing container (10) used to apply the polymer lubricant comprising a syringe (44) having as principle parts plunger (48), thumb surface (64), syringe open end (50), finger holds (52), tapered end (54), and open end (62) of cap (49) covering the elongated applicator tube and tip. |
