Underseal for infill refuse - utilises multilayer nonwoven textile material as protection against settlement

A refuse infill has a foundation covered by a seal consisting of textile material or utilising some textile material, which is in the form of a bonded non-woven. One layer is a retaining seal, and at least one other has a relaxation character. The connection between the two layers is weaker than the bond in the layer which allows relaxation. ADVANTAGE - A single set of layers is sufficient as a bottom seal, in place of the usual duplication, which is expensive. The layers allow settlement in the foundation without breaking the seal. Water seal can be secured by addn. of flocculant in the fibre of the textile.
