Container transport equipment comprises a crane carriage (1) with motor-driven cable drums (6a, 6b). Adjusting devices (8a, 8b, 8c, 8d) are arranged at the carriage (1) and are connected to cables (7a, 7b, 7c, 7d) which are partially wound around the cable drums and guided around respective cable pulleys (5a, 5b, 5c, 5d) fastened to a crossbeam (2). In this system, rotational movement of a spreader (3) attached to the crossbeam (2) about vertical, longitudinal and transverse axes can be performed by selective operation of the adjusting devices (8a, 8b, 8c, 8d) or by opposite driving of the cable drums. Consequently, the container (12) may be able to be matched to the plane of a deposit surface in three axes.
