A packaging comprising a frame receiving a top or bottom of a rectangular parallelepipedal article, e.g. a stack of objects, has the side flanges of its angle-section frame elements or limbs doubled by folding a flap along the side flange. This increases the strength of the frame for a given thickness of the cardboard or allows a thinner cardboard strip to be used for a given strength.
