<p>Polymer blends of mesophase propylene-based materials with a blend copolymer, such as a mesocopolymer and/or thermoplastic copolymer, articles formed therefrom, and the methods of making and using such polymer blends are provided. Such polymer blends are softer and/or tougher than comparable polymer blends of crystalline polypropylene, and are capable of maintaining substantial structural integrity after exposure to ionizing radiation. Films, fibers, microfibers, tubes, pouches, and other articles made from such polymer blends may be used in various applications, including medical articles such as medical packaging films, ostony pouches, medical tubing, transdermal delivery patches, and the like. <IMAGE></p> |
