PURPOSE:To obtain a silicon nitride structural body having largely improved heat insulating property while maintaining high temp. strength of the whole structural body, although generally, a silicon nitride structural body has excellent high temp. strength but high thermal conductivity. CONSTITUTION:This structural body consists of at least two armor members 3, 4, 9, and an inner member 5 sealed in the armor members 3, 4, 9 by joining the ends of these armor members 3, 4, 9. The inner member 5 is made porous from a raw material having an almost equal coefft. of thermal expansion to that of the armor members 3, 4, 9, and the outer surface of the inner member is tightly adhered to the armor members 3, 4, 9. |
