PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer recording medium having excellent printing quality in printing at high speed by forming a heat-fusing ink layer containing a colorant and a heat-fusing material having specific melting point, complex elastic modulus and pour point onto a sheet-shaped base material. CONSTITUTION:A solvent dispersion containing each fixed quantity of a colorant, an ethylene group low-melting point crystal material and an ethylene resin material is prepared. A heat-fusing ink layer is formed onto a sheet-shaped base material such as a polyethylene terephthalate film from a fixed quantity of the solvent dispersion, and a thermal transfer recording medium is supported. The ethylene group low melting-point crystal material and the ethylene resin material must have the melting point of 70-90 deg.C, the magnitude of complex elastic modulus at 100 deg.C of 10<6>Pa-10<7>Pa and the pour point of 150 deg.C or higher. Carbon black, first yellow G, into first orange, irgazin red, etc., are sited as examples of the colorant constituting the heat-fusing ink layer. |
