<p>PURPOSE:To adjust the height of a vehicle without changing the spring constants of torsion bars, and also to enhance the mountability to the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A height adjusting device comprises a first torsion bar 10 that is connected to a suspension arm 14 at its one end and is twisted around the axis 10a by the pivotal movement thereof, and a second torsion bar 12 that is fixed to a vehicle body 18 at its one end; and the other ends of these torsion bars are connected by means of a differential gear 28. The ring gear 36 of the differential gear is turned around the axis by means of an actuator 48, and the side-gears 44, 46 fixed to the other ends of the two torsion bars respectively are relatively turned via a pair of transmission pinions 40, 42, thereby the height can be adjusted.</p> |
