PURPOSE:To provide the process for production of the heat sealable cap material of a coating type which satisfies the low-temp. heat sealability and moisture resistant strength of adhesion to glass containers for powder coffees, powder milk, powder spices, mustard, yogurt, cream for cosmetics, liquors, etc., and is low in loss even with diversified kinds in small quantities. CONSTITUTION:The process for production of the heat sealable cap material consists in applying the dispersion of an org. solvent contg. polymer particles of <=10mum average particle size consisting of an olefin polymer having <=140 deg.C m.p. and contg. unsatd. carboxylic acid or its anhydride as a binder component and a silane coupling agent onto a metallic base material and drying the coating by heating, thereby forming a heat sealable resin layer. |
