PURPOSE:To prevent the development of nozzle clogging by specifying silica and titania contents. CONSTITUTION:In the alumina-graphite quality immersion nozzle for continuous casting, the silica content and the titania content are made to <=5wt% and 10-80wt%, respectively. This nozzle is used at the time of casting molten steel into a mold from a tundish. By this method, the immersion nozzle reducing the silica content and containing the titania can surely be prevented from the stickness of alumina even in the condition, which Ar gas blowing is not at all executed. |
