PURPOSE:To surely remove paper dusts that are stuck before starting of printing, and to eliminate occurrence of malfunctions in transfer and transit by a method wherein a vacuum plate device made up of two vacuum plates having brushes and sucking ports is placed so that a sheet carriage passage is interposed between the two vacuum plates. CONSTITUTION:A sheet 1 of continuous form is fed to pass through a vacuum plate device 20 before being carried to an electrophotographic section 3. During this process, paper dusts stuck to the sheet 1 are swept away as both faces of the sheet 1 are swept with brushes and at the same time, the swept-away paper dusts are sucked and removed through sucking ports by sucking force of a vacuum motor 30. The removed paper dusts are collected with a filter 26 and are disposed afterward. In a printing section, transfer of toner images is made between a photoconductive drum 13 and a transfer part of a tractor section 2, and the toner images are transferred from the photoconductive drum 13 to the sheet 1. Then the sheet 1 is heated with a preheater plate 15 in a fixation section 4, and the toner images are fixed. |
