PURPOSE:To eliminate malfunction by entering a moving body extracting routine after confirming that a moving body is not in the background by means of a background extracting routine. CONSTITUTION:A background image is inputted into a background image memory part A13 from an image inputting means 1, and the present image is inputted by the present image memory part A12. Then, the differential calculation between pixels is executed between the memory parts A12 and A13 by means of a differential calculation part A14, and binarization is executed by the value of a threshold setting part A15. A rewriting means 17 transfers the pixels of the memory part A12 to the corresponding pixels of the memory part A13 by the background rewriting signal from an image condition counter 16, and the image where the initial background image is rewritten and no changing bodies exist in the image, i.e., the background image is set. Successively, a background transfer means 18 transfers the data from the memory part A13 to a background image memory part B19 by the transfer signal from the counter 16, and the background image for extracting the moving body is set. Then, the image from the input means to the present image memory part B20 is inputted, the differential calculation between the pixels is executed between the memory parts B19, B20 by means of a differential calculation part B21, leading to binarization. |
