<p>PURPOSE:To remove particulates from a filter with yet more centainty by backwashing the filter in use of the compressed intake pressure of a turbocharger, not the compressed air of an air compressor, and regulating the extent of air blasting pressure according to a degree of loading in the filter. CONSTITUTION:A backwashing air pipe 24 branched off from an intake pipe 21 or intake manifold 19 connecting an intake compressor 11a of a turbocharger 11 and the intake manifold 19 of an engine 10, is connected to a filter backwashing nozzle 18. A backwash valve 27 is installed in this branched spot and a cutoff valve 26 in an exhaust pipe 12 at the downstream side of the nozzle 18, respectively. A controller 30 controls the backwash valve 27 and the cutoff valve 26 so as to be selected and to heat a heater 17 at a time when a car speed sensor 32 detects the stoppage of a vehicle as well as a pressure sensor 28 detects the extent of pressure higher than the specified value.</p> |
