<p>PURPOSE: To simplify the manufacture of a drive shaft by securing a bearing cap receiving a part of a movable scroll of a scroll compressor on a pipe regulating a rotor shaft, and inserting and securing a plastic insert provided with an oil hole in the pipe. CONSTITUTION: A drive shaft (rotor shaft) 40 revolutionarily supported via an Oldham coupling 32, with its upper end connected to a stem portion 30 protruding from under a movable scroll 26 cooperating with a fixed scroll 22, is provided with a substantially cylindrical upper bearing cap 42 at its upper end. The drive shaft 40 and the bearing cap 42 are provided with a balance weight 50 formed by an integral or separate metal piece formed by metal casting or powdered metallurgy. The drive shaft 40 is constituted by inserting and securing a plastic insert 65 in a rotor stub 41 formed by a steel pipe. A valve and oil holes 66, 66a, 66b are formed on the insert 65. An oil supply pipe 62 is mounted in a lower chamber 67.</p> |
