PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording body having excellent light resistance by laminating a protective layer including a recording layer containing colorless or light- colored basic dyes and a colorant and an ultraviolet absorber and comprising micro- capsules having no-color developing capacity onto a supporter. CONSTITUTION:A core substance acquired by dissolving a salicylic acid group ultraviolet adsorber or a benzophenone group ultraviolet absorber, which is a solid at normal temperature, into an organic solvent is emulsified and dispersed into an aqueous medium, and a wall film composed of a high molecular substance is formed around the core substance, thus obtaining a micro-capsule including the ultraviolet absorber. Fixed quantities of colorless or light-colored basic dyes and a colorant are used as an aqueous medium containing a binder, and agitated and ground by a ball mill, etc., thus preparing a coating fluid for a recording layer. The micro-capsules, the binder, etc., are dispersed in water, thus preparing a coating fluid for a protective layer. The upper section of a supporter such as paper, a plastic film, etc., is coated with the coating fluid for the recording layer and the coating fluid is dried and the recording layer is formed, and the upper section of the recording layer is coated with the coating fluid for the protective layer and the coating fluid is dried and the protective layer is laminated, thus acquiring a thermal recording body. |
