PURPOSE:To effectively use water surface of an aeration tank and to carry out water culture of vegetable by sowing seeds of vegetable on a water retaining bed material set between the water surface of the aeration tank and an antifoaming tube above the water surface and intermittently spraying organism- treated water from an antifoaming nozzle. CONSTITUTION:First, a water retaining bed material 10 is set between water surface in an aeration tank 1 of treating waste water with an organism and an antifoaming tube 3 to defoam water laid above the water surface. Then, seeds of vegetable are sowed on the water retaining bed material 10, organism- treated water is intermittently sprayed upon the seeds 20 and vegetables germinated and grown from the seeds from antifoaming nozzles 4 attached to the antifoaming pipe 3 at proper intervals to culture vegetables. For example, glass wool or polyurethane may be used as water retaining material 10. Since the bed material 10 is supported at proper height from the water surface, a receiving member 11 composed of a net is preferably used. |
