PURPOSE: To enable a user to use his existing appliances to a high-pressure container in a safe way and with a minimum cost. CONSTITUTION: A device comprises an assembly 8 adapted to be mounted on a closure valve 4 of a high pressure container 1; a manual control device operating a distribution valve 11 in which an upstream end communicates with the closure valve 4; a pressure reducer 14 and a safety device against over pressures between the distribution valve 11 and an outlet for connection to a user circuit; and a manometer 36 which measures a pressure of the upstream of the distribution valve 11. A pusher-rod 35 operates the closure valve 4 in response to a movement of the distribution valve 11.
