<p>PURPOSE:To automate a manual operation of the operator and to realize an unmanned platform to handle the passengers by opening a gate when a carrier detector detects that a carrier reaches a set position. CONSTITUTION:Carriers 15 and 18 start from and reach a tram stop 1 alternatively. When the carrier 15 comes in and stops at a platform 2, the beam of a carrier detector 21 is reflected by a reflection plate 21a stuck to the carrier 15 so as to detect the carrier 15. At the same time, electric doors 16 and 17 of the carrier 15 are made to receive the power by a power feeder 40, a detecting signal GO is fed to gate doors 4 and 7, and the gate doors 4 and 7 are made to the opened position 4b and the closed position 7b respectively. Then, a conductor moves the electric door 16 from the closed position 16a to the opened position 16b, and after making the passengers get off, he moves the electric door 16 to the closed position 16a. Then, after making the passengers get in by moving the electric door 17 to the opened position 17b, he closes the door 17 to the closed position 17a.
