PURPOSE:To prepare a polyester compsn. which enables the production of a film or fiber excellent in abrasion resistance, slipperiness, and windability by compounding a thermoplastic polyester with zirconium oxide particles having specified particle properties and inert inorg. particles each in a specified amt. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic polyester is compounded with 0.01-10wt.% zirconium oxide particles having a specific surface area by the B.E.T. method of 10m<2>/g or higher and 0.01-10wt.% inert inorg. particles having a mean particle diameter of 0.01-5.0mum.
