PURPOSE:To perform reliable detection by a method wherein when it is detected that sheets in a throw-out part runs out, even sheets falling down to the bottom part of the throw-out part are pulled out in a way that a press plate is moved in a press direction and a delivery part is rotated in a pull-out direction in the throw-out part. CONSTITUTION:An openable shutter 7 is arranged to a throw-out part 1 wherein sheets are charged or delivered. It is detected by a detecting sensor 2 that sheets are present in the throw-out part 1. Further, sheets in the throw-out part 1 are delivered one by one by a delivery part 3. Meanwhile, during delivery, the sheets are pressed against the delivery part 3 by means of a press part 5. Or, the delivered sheets are processed by a processing part 6. The sheets in the throw-out part 1 are delivered and when it is detected that the sheets in the throw-out part 1 runs out, the delivery part 3 is reversed by a control part 4 and the press part 5 is moved in a press direction and remaining sheets are reliably detected. Or, similarly, the shutter 7 is closed by means of the control part 4 and the delivery part 3 is rotated in a pull-out direction. |
