PURPOSE: To economically manufacture a folding carton erected accurately and in a constantly invariable state by heating the rear and front walls up to such an extent that the plastic coating is sealable, and, after it, pressing the rear wall and the front wall and flaps against each other. CONSTITUTION: A U-shaped female tool 4 is geared to a forming plunger 8. A carton cut piece 10 is inserted between the female tool 4 and the forming plunger 8. A bottom 11 of the carton cut piece is pressed into the female tool 4, and two walls 14, 15 are each erected at the side and tightened between two legs 7, 6 and the plunger. The carton cut piece is pressed against the forming plunger 8 by the rotation of a closure wheel 30. A folding strip 37 raises the front wall 23 and a rear wall 24, and hot air from a hot air nozzle 35 or an outlet opening 36 reaches the inner surface via the two sealable plastic coated walls, and a pressing rail 38 or its pressing roller takes over the air. |
