THICKENING AQUEOUS SYSTEMS New liquid thickeners for aqueous liquids, particularly those employed in pesticides and latex paints, comprise polyoxyalkylene polyethers terminated with oxypropylene groups. These copolymers are prepared by reacting ethylene oxide with an active hydrogen-containing initiator having about 1 to 18 carbon atoms and at least one active hydrogen atom followed by reaction with propylene oxide. |
