<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a picture destroyed by an error from being displayed by dividing picture data equivalent to one screen into plural blocks and coding them and adding an end (EOB) code to the end of the coded data. CONSTITUTION:Digital picture data one screen are divided into plural blocks by a two-dimension orthogonal transformation section 14, each block is coded and an EOB code representing the end of the block is added to the end of the coding data of each block. A decoding section 31 implements decoding sequentially by one picture element each with respect to coding data by one block to be entered. Then whether or not the EOB code appears is discriminated and when the coded data are decoded before the EOB code appears, it is considered that the data having an error are recorded on a memory card 40. Thus, the erroneous recording is detected, the error sill is given to a system control section 20, and the processing by a two-dimension orthogonal inverse transformation processing section 32 and the signal processing section 33 is stopped.</p> |
