PURPOSE:To save labor such as the search of a required key and the check of a manual and to efficiently execute document formation by constituting this word processor so as to display corresponding screen display data on a monitor screen or the like based upon an instruction outputted from an operation part. CONSTITUTION:The word processor is provided with a storage part 2, the operation part 1, a judging part 3, a display signal forming part 4, a display part 5 and a control part 6 for controlling respective parts 1 to 5 and constituted so as to display corresponding screen display data on the monitor screen or the like based upon an instruction outputted from the operation part 1. A character corresponding to the initial reading of a function to be retrieved whose spelling is started from the reading is inputted, and when 'RETRIEVE' operation is set up, 7 list of functions whose spelling is started from the reading is displayed. When a required item is selected by a cursor and 'EXE CUTE' key is depressed, the function key to be depressed is displayed on the display screen by black/white inversion or ON and OFF on a key array. Since the explanation of an operation procedure can also be displayed as necessary, a beginner can save labor and time such as the search of a required key on a keyboard and the check of a manual. |
