<p>PURPOSE:To provide the discrete cosine transformation device in which the chip size is reduced and the power consumption is reduced with respect to the discrete cosine transformation device implementing the arithmetic operation of the discrete cosine transformation without use of a multiplier. CONSTITUTION:The device is a discrete cosine transformation device implementing the arithmetic operation of forward/inverse discrete cosine transformation (DCT) by sampling 2-bits each of each element of plural original input data and using a lookup table, and the lookup table (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d) are generated respectively for 2-bits each of two elements (I1, I2; I3, I4; I5, I6; I7, I8) as to the forward DCT transformation matrix and the reverse DCT transformation matrix.</p> |
