PURPOSE:To suppress the deterioration of an org. dyestuff recording layer by forming this recording layer in such a manner that the correlative relation between the thermal decomposition temp. of a photostabilizer incorporated into a substrate, the thermal decomposition temp. of the photostabilizer incorporated into the recording layer and the thermal decomposition temp. of the org. dyestuff satisfies specific mathematical expression. CONSTITUTION:The optical information recording medium contg. the photostabilizers in the plastic substrate and the org. dyestuff recording layer formed on this plastic substrate is so formed that the correlative relation between the thermal decomposition temp. TA( deg.C) of the photostabilizer incorporated into the substrate, the thermal decomposition temp. TB( deg.C) of the photostabilizer incorporated into the org. dyestuff recording layer and the thermal decomposition temp. TD( deg.C) of the org. dyestuff satisfies the inequality TA( deg.C)>TD( deg.C)>=TB ( deg.C). The deterioration of the recording layer is suppressed if the org. dyestuff recording layer 5 contg. the photostabilizer B is formed on the plastic substrate 2 contg. the photostabilizer A in such a case.
