PURPOSE: To obtain an omnidirectional double polarized wave antenna in which a rear pattern is avoided to eliminate sacrificing of 3dB antenna gain by the rear pattern. CONSTITUTION: The antenna has an open end and close end plate 14, a cavity configured with a cylinder 12 having a selected size to emit a radio wave of a selected frequency band, a plurality of notches 16, 18, 20, 22 formed to a ridge of open ends of the cavity and having a selected size to emit the selected frequency band, and a plurality of supply sections 30, 32, 34, 36 relating to each notch to stimulate each notch at the selected frequency band, respectively. A coaxial cable is used for the supply sections 30, 32, 34, 36, its outer conductor is connected to a cavity wall at one side of each notch and an inner conductor is connected to a cavity wall opposed to the notch. |
