PURPOSE:To enable the efficient data compression of a data file with a high random property like a program. CONSTITUTION:A data file FD of a version-up program is data compressed of using a reference file FS such as a program of an old version. The data file FD and a reference file FS are partially compared to search one part of the reference file SRi and record DRi having the arbitrary data length with the high data coincidence rate. The exclusive OR between the record DRi and SRi are calculated to obtain intermediate data XRDi. The intermediate data XRDi includes many 0s, suitable for the data compression due to the high redundancy. The intermediate data XRDi is data compressed to obtain compression data record dri. |
