PURPOSE:To achieve a high wavelength conversion efficiency in a light wavelength converter device wherein a solid laser beam is incident on a crystal of a first nonlinear optical material to emit a second higher harmonic and the second harmonic and the laser beam are incident on a crystal of a second nonlinear optical material and are converted into a sum frequency wave. CONSTITUTION:A resonator mirror 14 constituting a resonator for a solid laser beam 21 is also employed for resonance of a second higher harmonic 22. A coating 30 is applied on an outside end surface 13a of an Nd: YVO4 rod 13 constituting a solid laser medium, which serves as the other resonator mirror for the solid laser beam 21, and a coating 31 is applied on an inside end surface 13b, which serves as the other resonator mirror for the second harmonic wave 22. |
