PURPOSE:To enable a driver to easily and accurately grasp a traveling direction in the device which guides the travel direction of the vehicle at each intersection in a previously registered travel course. CONSTITUTION:When the vehicle approaches an intersection Pi in the travel course to a specific distance, the guide direction from the intersection Pi to a next intersection Pi+1 is found (330) as an angle of right/left turning from the current traveling direction of the vehicle until the vehicle passes the intersection Pi and after the brightness of a map displayed on a display device is reduced (340), a guide symbol (e.g. arrow) which slants at the turning angle to the travel direction of the vehicle is emphasized and displayed (350) on the display map. |
