PURPOSE:To provide the magnetic recording medium which can maintain a stable recording state with substantially no influence of an external magnetic field and the magnetic recording method thereof. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic recording medium has a magnetic recording medium body consisting of a sintered body 1 of a rare earth magnet and an information recording part 3 consisting of a nonmagnetic material contg. carbon recorded on the magnetic recording medium main body. The magnetic recording method is executed by applying carbon of pencil 2, etc., or a mixture contg. the carbon on the front surface of the sintered body 1 of the rare earth magnet and heating the sintered body in a vacuum or inert gaseous atmosphere, while the carbon coated part 3 coated with the carbon or the mixture contg. the carbon of the sintered body of the magnet is made nonmagnetic, thereby forming magnetized patterns. |
