PURPOSE:To provide a high compression rate by using a relatively simple means in document data consisting of character code strings. CONSTITUTION:The data compression is performed by providing a means successively comparing the input data in a processing unit, extracting the only part where the former data is changed in the present data, and replacing the present data by the converted data added with the position and length of the changed part in the data string in a processing unit to the changed data and a means replacing the conversion data change part data consisting of the successive length and the data type of the special data in the case the data of the changed part is the continuous specific data such as blank and 0 and by combining these two means. |
