Retractor Shaft-Rotating Type Seat Belt Pretensioner A retractor shaft-rotating type seat belt pretensioner (P) for imparting pretension to a seat belt by rotating the take-up shaft (R1) of belt retractor (R) comprises a driving member (1) engageable with the take-up shaft (R1) and a power source (2) coupled to the driving member (1) and adapted to rotate the driving member (1) by applying an operating force (F) to it at an operating point (T). A guide surface (4) supports the driving member (1) at a reaction support point (U) against the reaction force due to a rotary moment applied to the driving member (1) at an engaging point (S) where the driving member (1) engages the take-up reel (3 and R3), the reaction support point (U) being on the opposite side of the engaging point (S) from the operating point (T) where the operating force of the power source (2) acts on the driving member (1).
