PURPOSE:To stably keep a water washing process for a long period, to decrease the quantity of liquid waste of washing, to decrease a treating cost of the wastes and to save the handling time for cleaning a water washing device of an automatic developing machine, by preventing the soiling at the time of a water washing treatment after the development and generation of clogging at a nozzle, in a development processing by the automatic developing device for a photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:In a method subjecting the photosensitive material to a developing process and a succeeding treating process including a water washing process while the photosensitive material is automatically transferred, the wastes from water washing which is discharged in the water washing process are regenerated and the obtained regenerated water is backed to the water washing process to be used as the washing water. In a treating device having the means in which the photosensitive material is developed while it is automatically transferred and next the result is washed by reusing in circulation the washing water in a washing water tank 31, a regenerating means D regenerating the wastes from waste washing and a means returning the regenerated water to the water washing tank are provided. |
