PURPOSE: To hold balance of pressure lowering due to a partial length fuel rod and critical output due to an accessory device by combining the partial length fuel rod lowering the pressure lowering and using a spacer and the accessory device with the spacer. CONSTITUTION: The fuel rods R of a fuel bundle B are surrounded with a fuel channel C between an upper tie plate U and a lower tie plate L. The tie plates U, L support the fuel rods R, the inflow of water is made possible on the the plate L, and water and generated steam can be discharged on the tie plate U. The partial length fuel rods P are distributed in a fuel rod matrix, and the pitches of spacers S increase together therewith. Pressure lowering reduced by insertion of the partial length fuel rod P can be recovered by adding the spacers and providing a spacer accessory device.
