PURPOSE:To attain a color converting function of a high level with the same hardware by obtaining the CMY density signals with conversion of a masking means, correcting these signals independently after separation into a black component, a secondary color component and a primary color component, and adding together the corrected signals for output. CONSTITUTION:A linear masking means 1 performs the conversion into the CMY density signals with a (3X3) matrix operation. A block separator means 2 separates a black component and the CMYK signal keeping the black-gray balance is obtained by a black corrector means 3. The CMYK signal is inputted to an addition output means 7. Then the CMY signal including no black component is separated into the primary and secondary colors by a primary/secondary color separator means 4 and sent to a primary color corrector means 5 and a secondary color corrector means 6 respectively. Then the corrected colors are inputted to the means 7 where the corrected signals of the primary, secondary and black color components are added together for each CMYK and outputted. |
