The present invention relates to a mechanical method of dry cleaning by spraying abrasive powders at very low kinetic energy (50 to 100 microns), characterised in that it consists in spraying a microabrasive mist towards a frontage, which mist is obtained by very rapid and continuous displacement of a multitude of thin compressed air streams loaded with abrasive particles at very low kinetic energy, and in moving this microabrasive mist obtained all along the frontage to be cleaned, in a spraying plane substantially parallel to this frontage. This mist is obtained through a spraying wheel equipped with multitudes of very fine spraying nozzles, thus making it possible to obtain ultra-rapid microthin impacts, selectively releasing only uncemented particles attached to the stone, that is to say the pollutant particles. <IMAGE>
