The present invention relates to a storage device (30), and more especially to a device comprising a container (32) integral with the rear part of the back (22) of a motor vehicle seat (20). This device, which is of the type comprising, in addition to the container (32), a loading opening emerging from the container (32) and a flap (34) capable of closing the said opening, is characterised in that the flap (34) constitutes, when closed, at least part of a substantially horizontal upper partition (44) of the container (32).
