The invention relates to an interposed device (12) for temporary and leaktight connection of at least one pipe (13) to the collar (4) which borders the outlet orifice (7) of an exhaust manifold such as that of a car engine, which manifold has a nozzle which at a free end (3) bears a collar (4) intended to be coupled to the inlet (5) of an exhaust system, which collar (4) exhibits: - on the one hand, a substantially planar face (6) termed bearing face which borders the orifice (7) of the nozzle and, - on the other hand, radial lugs (8) which project at its periphery with a given angular distribution and exhibit an orifice (9) for anchoring a stud (10) which, being of given length, must for its part project from the aforementioned bearing face (6) with a view to receiving one of the nuts for holding a connection flange carried at the end of an exhaust device against the said bearing face (6). <IMAGE>
