PURPOSE:To permit an electronic equipment to be driven under optimum conditions with simple constitution by adjusting the driving conditions for the electronic equipment corresponding to the receiving intensity of infrared rays from a remote controller. CONSTITUTION:When an operator 10 of a remote controller 3 operates a television receiver 11 with the remote controller 3, an infrared ray signal 4 is received by a phototransistor 1 and DC voltage corresponding to the receiving intensity of the phototransistor 1, that is, the DC voltage corresponding to the distance between the operator 10 and the television receiver 11 is outputted by an integration circuit composed of a resistance R2 and a capacitor C. The DC voltage is led to a microcomputer 16, converted into a digital signal in an A/D converter 17 and outputted as a value corresponding to the distance between the remote controller 3 and the phototransistor 1, that is, a viewing distance. A video image adjustment and control circuit 18 determines optimum driving conditions, that is, the optimum conditions including brightness and color density of a video signal preliminarily set corresponding to the viewing distance, from a digital output from the A/D converter 17 and controls a video circuit 6. |
