Device for tightening and closing a ski boot, comprising two closure members engaging with each other and bringing together and retaining two flaps of its shell, each of the said flaps comprising closure members, one of the closure members consisting of a fastening (hooking) element, whilst the other closure member comprises a succession of retention elements, the said fastening element engaging in the closure position with one of the retention elements, characterised in that the said closure device comprises means for visualising the chosen adjustment (fitting) which consist of a reference mark linked to one of the members, whilst the other comprises a succession of marks, the respective spacing of which, from one to another, corresponds to the spacing of the corresponding retention elements. <IMAGE>
