The invention relates to elements in kit form for making window boxes, especially made of base clay, consisting of brackets and panels. The panels (8) fit downwards in channel-shaped openings (2) and (3) in the corner brackets (1) provided for this purpose and, optionally, for enlarging the window boxes, in the same way in the channels (6) and (7) of the extender brackets (16), to form a fixed enclosure. These said panels (8) are therefore attached by overlapping the hooks (4), (5), (11) and (12) of the said brackets by their standardised inverted-hook-shaped hollow ribs (9) placed at their ends. It is characterised in that the set of these assembly means contributes to obtaining window boxes by integral locking of these corner elements and panels.
