Electrochemical gas measuring cell (I) has at least one electrode arranged in a housing. A porous, hydrophilic, chemically inert and mechanically stable ceramic substrate is present to form chemically and mechanically stable three phase contacts of gas sample, electrode and electrolyte. The electrode material is applied on the substrate. USE/ADVANTAGE - The cell is esp. a polarographic or amperometric gas measuring cell for measuring in a gas space or of dissolved gases in liquids. Mechanical stability guarantees stable adhesion of the electrode during moisture fluctuations.
