Insertion of microcapsules, which contain pharmaceutical or technical active agents and which are made of gelatin or similar organic materials, into a carrier mass comprises (a1) feeding the microcapsules (in pure, dry or powdered state) in a gaseous or liquid carrier medium,, opt. in combination with other capsules, into an aq. carrier or aq. carrier mass or (a2) feeding an aq. carrier or aq. carrier mass into the microcapsules (opt. as a mixt. of microcapsules), (b) mixing the mixt. rapidly to mass or suspension which is capable of flowing, spreading being injected or being dispensed, (c) opt. forming the mass or suspension into tablets or the like, and (d) drying the mass, suspension or tablets to remove aq. solvent. USE/ADVANTAGE - The process is useful e.g. for prepn. of retard forms of pharmaceutical active agents and for prepn. of adhesives suitable for protecting screws during storage and enhancing their effectiveness during use. The process allows prepn. of high quality tablets (which are non-toxic) and is environmentally friendler than prior art processes
