A load detector element is connected to the force measurement device via a compressible intermediate part. The intermediate part is in the form of a cushion (5) of wire which has been bunched up and compressed. A bearing arrangement (6,8) between the load detector element (9) and the force measurement device (1) permits a limited degree of relative movement transverse to the force direction. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. suitable for use in corrosive atmospheres. Enables accurate force measurement free from negative influence of reaction forces.
